Paul Mullin appears to be back in the groove at Wrexham, with his latest hat-trick earning the prolific frontman an EFL Team of the Week nod.

    WHAT HAPPENED?

    The 29-year-old striker has been a reliable source of goals for the Red Dragons throughout his time in North Wales. He had been finding the going a little tough of late, though, with Phil Parkinson taking to dropping him to the bench at times.

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

    Mullin has delivered the best possible response to any questions of his contribution, with the target being found in back-to-back League Two fixtures. After netting in a 1-1 draw with Forest Green Rovers, he registered a hat-trick in a 4-0 thumping of Accrington Stanley.

    That treble was Mullin’s first since November and has taken him to 16 efforts for the season. His heroics have been recognised by the Football League, with a place earned in their Team of the Week alongside club colleague Elliot Lee, who was also among the goals against Accrington.
